for participants of the TUMI Conference “Green Recovery for a New Vision of Sustainable Urban Mobility” on 25th of May 2021 regarding the storage and use of personal data by the conference host Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and contractor SES Technologies UG.

The protection of your personal data is very important to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and SES Technologies UG. Hence, we inform you which of your personal data are stored and used, and for what purposes this will take place.
Participation in online event:
The personal data requested in the name of GIZ by contracted facilitator SES Technologies UG and provided through the participant of the conference “Green Recovery for a New Vision of Sustainable Urban Mobility” includes the following personal data for the described purposes:
- IP addresses for the operation of the platform and accessibility of required servers by participants
- Personal data: IP address

Deletion of data:
The data stored at SES Technologies UG will be deleted at the end of the conference day or once you exit the platform.
The personal data are stored on the servers accessed by SES Technologies UG and its subprocessor Amazon Web Services (AWS) and are located within the EU, in Frankfurt a. M., Germany. The data will be used exclusively for the above given purposes. Any other use will be subject to renewed consent. Your data will not be used for advertising purposes. The personal data will not be passed on to other third parties. GIZ uses appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure data against unintentional or intentional falsification, destruction, loss or access by unauthorized persons. Access to your personal data is restricted to selected SES Technologies UG staff members (which are responsible for the technical infrastructure, and as such its storage). The data will be used according to the above-mentioned purposes, handling your personal data in a confidential manner. According to EU-GDPR and Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG, new) 2016/679, the legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the active consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit a) GDPR to this declaration by means of accepting this Data Protection notice via the provided “accept” button. User data will not be kept any longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it is processed or as required by law.”. The given consent will remain valid even if no participation took place, for a period of 1 year after it was signed.
You are entitled to enquire about your personal data, have the data corrected if necessary, and ask for processing to be restricted or data to be erased. The data will then be removed from our system. The consent given to use personal data can also be revoked at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing up to the time of revocation. In the case of revocation, it is not possible to participate in the mentioned conference nor to be included in the networking process in the context of the conference.
